Mata Amar Kaur Ji belonged to the Dullat family, who were from the village of Bhagtuana. She was the paternal aunt of Sant Baba Karnail Dass Ji and Sardar Hardial Singh Dullat was her husband. She had great love and affection in her heart for Baba Ji and this led her to form a vulnerable attachment with the Vivek Mission Charitable Trust, which was established by Baba Ji. Mata Amar Kaur Ji showed great interest in the activities of the mission from the beginning.
She actively took part in working towards the welfare of the poor and needy who would stumble upon the footsteps of the trust. She would help with their care, administer medication and take charge of day to day tasks at the trust.
Upon seeing the benefit the trust was bringing to the poor and needy, Mata Amar Kaur Ji requested Baba Ji to establish a branch of the trust in their own area, where there was a vast majority of poor people that needed help. She humbly donated 11 acres of land to the trust, and today The Mata Amar Kaur Vivek Eye Hospital stands there, with its doors always open to the poor and needy.
